Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Oil change, bottom transmission line replaced, nail in rear driver's side tire.
Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Scrounged rear sway bar, brackets and endlinks off a 95 Legacy LS at the local boneyard...grand total out the door $11.68! Lateral links were a different story...had to pay $25 for those shipped to me. Well worth the money as they are always a PITA to get off. Ferrari like handling on our 94L wagon right around the corner. I hope the 195/65/15 tires can keep up;)

Speakers: Kicker DS600
Sub: Memphis PR 10"
Amp: Rockford Fosgate 600.5 600W RMS 5-channel amp

Thought about what I'm gonna do suspension wise. Still not sure if I should lift or lower. I see more lowered vs. lifted. I do go off road from time to time, but most of my driving time is spent on paved roads. Don't have a clue if I should go up or down. Opinions?

Leave it stock or raise it if you do go off-road. If you neverDanny-G wrote:Thought about what I'm gonna do suspension wise. Still not sure if I should lift or lower. I see more lowered vs. lifted. plan on going off-road again go ahead and lower it if the roads
in your area are pretty smooth.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
I was at 155 I think at half tank on my way home from work this morning but I think the second half goes by quicker because I usually wind up with around 260-280 on a tank with about 21-23 mpg.Mattheww044 wrote:Bought another one. FWD Auto... Boring but I'm at 152 miles at half a tank haha

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
I paid 1400 which is probably a little steep. 93 NA auto fwd with 230k and slight front end damage. But I wanted a Subaru no matter what and this was the only one in y price range, and it runs and shift very smooth so I couldn't pass it up. Kimo, that's with your SS?!? I got 15-18 in mine

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
That's with my SS with 4.444 gears. Something must have been wrong with yours. Or you drove it like you stole it haha. I think I was getting like 19 or 20 mpg when I first got mine running because I was having so much fun in it. I've since calmed down....extremely so. I now drive the speed limit everywhere and at night on my way home from work I drive 45 home in a 50. Tired of dealing with cops and insurance prices and I don't want to drive like that on public roads as much as I can help it. Sometimes I'll pass someone and then I get the urge to punch it and I'll get up to 80 or 90 and put a big smile on my face but that's about the extent of it.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Highway mileage I get 21-23 driving it like I stole it and 28-29 if I play nice. More like 19-20 in town but I boost quite a bit for the fun of it. I keep a spreadsheet and calculate every fillup since I've owned the car and always fill up at the same pump. I still have 3.90s which is great for my usage.
I can get to 170 or so at an indicated half tank and usually fill up between 11-12 gallons at 270-310 miles. I agree with kimo, the stock gauge seems to go way faster for the bottom half.
I hear I can thank the RevTronix chip for my excellent economy.

Something else that might look sweet is getting the inside powder coated or something so just the lip is polished.Apex3 wrote:Yea I probably will, wasn't sure what I wanted to do about them, don't work at all the way they are now.

I dont know. I still like them on there. Kinda gives itApex3 wrote:Yea I probably will, wasn't sure what I wanted to do about them, don't work at all the way they are now.
something that would be missing without them on there.
Like how you'll clean your whole car and not your door
jambs and after you're all done you'll see the door jambs
in your peripheral vision and your mind tells you that your
car still looks dirty.
Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Over the past few days I've swapped the Hella 550s for regular 500s, fixed my extra back-up lights, played in the dirt more, and switched the top four 500 buckets around. I had the 500 comet lenses and such in the standard 500 buckets and the standard 500 lenses and such were in the comet buckets, so I swapped the buckets around. Also, I put 100 watt bulbs in the 500s that replaced the 550s. I think next will be different lights to use as high beams, off the shelf H.I.D lights. They are stupidly bright, so bright that the box says they shine for a mile and are for off road use only. I'll still use them on the road but only when theres no other cars around.
