I've gotten 29 with my SS on a highway drive at 75-80mph over a mountain pass.
With the right driving style and all highway I bet 33 is possible. Used to get 31 in my '96 Legacy all the time driving to work on the freeway at 65mph and about 80/20 highway/city mileage.

Yeah, I managed to pinch out over 300 miles out of a tank at one point too

Holy crap CJ! I just started getting right over 300 per tank before the low fuel light comes on. I'm about 4k miles since the engine was rebuild, at 0-3k miles it was getting 215-230 per tank. That's with mixed driving, boosting a lot, and the cheapest premium I can find, lol. Ej20g with td04 and JDM gearbox with shitty 5th gear.cj91legss wrote:i get about 200-215 a tank

My red one was rebuilt and it was getting only
20-21mpg with easy driving. Just changed out the
coolant temperature sensor the other day. Letting
a friend borrow it now, but we'll see if it alleviates
the issue.

Where is the low fuel light located?? And does anyone know how to change the bulb?? Mine doesn't work

I could get over 300 easily on a tank, but I usually fill up at about 250-270 miles on a tank just because I don't like to run it too low. 
The low fuel light is a square to the bottom and slightly to the left of the fuel guage. It lights up orange. If you pull the gauge cluster you should be able to replace the bulb.

which bulbs are blown when you pull them, I just think
it's fun

I just don't see getting 5 more MPG like you're talking about. That'd be filling up at 300 miles and only putting 10.35 gallons in. A spoiler won't necessarily get you worse mileage. It depends on the airflow/vehicle speed. The spoiler could help airflow reattachment off the roof (especially where the trunks on these are pretty low) on the sedan and angled down slightly on the wagon could reduce wake drag by easing the transition of the airflow off the roof (you'd need a windtunnel or at least a good CFD program to nail down optimal angle at a chosen speed). IMO, we're not talking significant differences outside the basic +/- of general variable daily traffic conditions even over the same route, but the potential benefit is there nevertheless.

The RevTronix chip runs the engine around 15.2:1 at cruise which drastically increases fuel mileage over a stock ECU's tune. I get better gas mileage than any other turbo Legacy I've owned before. Pulled and pressure washed the sedan carpet yesterday, helped it finish drying today with a heat gun. Still haven't put it in cause the padding on the bottom hasn't dried totally yet.

OK well it wasn't today but it was a couple days ago... I was doin trail work up in the mountains which involved a few miles of rugged access roads far better suited for trucks than cars. I was mob'n pretty good while mostly avoiding potholes and washboard. I drove back down at the end of the day hoping that the 65mph+ shakes hadn't got any worse. A miracle happened! The vibration has been significantly reduced! WTF? Any ideas how this happened? I was originally thinking that its was just a wheel out of balance.... I'm not complaining though!

Could be mud on the inside of the wheels. It'll

Yup, was probably mud. I'd suggest washing the wheels out anyway to get rid of any residual mud.

The front light bar is still there and the roof lights are normally in the trunk since the make a pretty big difference in gas mileage.

As for what I've done today, it was last night actually. Changed out both front CV axles. No more clickety clickety clickety. Much improved!
