93 ss steering rack

hey guys, need to know if a 2000 impreza steering rack will fit my 93 ss(from what I read the GC rack is a direct in the 90-94 legacy). My rack is rusted and leaks like a stuck pig. Also should I grab the PS pump off the impreza so it will make the swap easier? Or can I re use my legacy PS pump with the impreza unit?

I believe the 00 Impreza rack should be compatible. I'll let others chime in because I'm sure a few have done the swap.

I don't think you'd need to swap your PS pump unless you wanted to.

Alright thanks for the input Josh. I may just swap the pump too because it is starting to leak as well. Im hoping the junkyard impreza is in ok shape and I can make out with a good rack and pump. (fingers crossed)

I have a feeling it is a direct fit as well. I do know that the stock PS pump and lines are compatible.

So I confirmed over the weekend it's a compatible rack and actually takes the same inner and outer tie rods.
