WTB: Sedan Sunroof Assy

Post by 2.2TLegacy »

As the title says, my motor on my sunroof has seized and it has also started to leak, would rather just replace it with a complete assy if someone has one they are willing to part with.

Thanks guys.

Mercer Island/Bellevue area. I know there are some at a few of the junk yards around the state but I would rather give the money to an enthusiast.

Most of us don't pull the whole assembly. I have a few spare glass pieces, but not the assembly. But I know where you can get one.

Not sure, if any one could verify the compatibility between the TS and TW sunroof assys that would be awesome. Dibs on your sunroof when you start the part out just in case they are the same.

The size and weight of one is going to make it expensive to ship.

Just for the record, I have a wagon sunroof assembly in my Sedan, the only difference is the 2 mounting holes on the sides (one on each side) don't line up. The corners and front 2 extra holes do line up. I have ran one in my car for a year plus now. Make sure to re-seal the tracts to avoid future leaking.

Don't replace the entire assembly, you don't need to. Just remove it and reseal it, its a really easy and cheap fix. Replacing the motor while your in there is really quick and painless as well. Take a drive down to the 3 junkyards down in kent by the river (binford...and whatever those other two are) and see what they have. Otherwise, affordable auto wrecking right on MLK in south seattle (by the public storage place, right next to i-5) has two legacys with sunroofs. I didn't take the motors out of them, and they should still be there (that guy has had the same cars in that yard for literally years). I did a write up of how to reseal the sunroof.
