All the OEM USDM headlight assemblies out there say the same thing - they're the best.
Which ones are the best - which ones should I avoid?
It's about light output quality - not style.
Of course, I wouldn't turn down a good EDM kit...

Welcome to legacy central,
My somewhat expert opinion working in body shops and do a lot of driving at night. I have used oem and aftermarket headlight and for the most part I haven't seen a great deal in better lighting or quality.

Welcome to the BBS.
Are you wanting to replace your existing headlights or put in additional lighting?
What year and model do you have?

Second this.
But if you have a 91-94 legacy, the Glass EDM headlights just put out a little bit more light to me.
IMHO

Re: Which Replacement Headlight Assembly?
Where are you seeing options for OEM headlight assemblies?
If you just need a replacement light go to a junkyard, super easy to clean up the lenses to look like new.
EDM lights and/or projector retrofit are your best options for light output. If you mean bulbs then don't bother getting anything fancy, it's a waste.

jdm/edm glass lights are the best with standard bulbs
upgrade with some hid fog lights and you can keep the stock usdm headlights
