Yes, you want the 5spd "kit". The engine and pitch stop mounts are the same between the 5 & 6spds, however the trans mount is different.

Personally, I'd price out what the engine & trans mounts run from one of the online Subaru dealers. I personally don't think the group n pitch stop mounts do anything but add nvh to the cabin. For example, I input all those part #'s into subarugenuineparts.com's catalog and the price was $231.41 vs the $257.00 on ebay.

Other thing to note is that people are selling these mounts as "group n" mounts, and they're just US STi parts, not group n mounts. The original STi group n mounts have part #'s that start with STi. Is there a difference between the parts....I don't know....probably not, but just an FYI.

I bought the Megan racing mount set for my girlfriends 92 legacy. I have Subaru "Group N" in my car right now. Comparing them they were the same stiffness.

I would buy the Megan Racing kit and save some money. They even have Subaru part numbers on them. They just have their sticker on them.

If he's got a 6 speed get the 6 speed mount. If not get the 5 speed mount. It will make your life a lot easier. It was a huge pita to get my pitch mount bolted in because I used a 6 speed groupN mount and its shorter in height which drops the trans down and angles the engine back more causing the bolt holes to be off on the pitch mount about 1/2-3/4 of the width of the hole. I had to redrill my mounting bracket out.

No it won't fit an auto. I believe there is an aftermarket company making auto bushings, you might have to do a search for it.

I have the Rallitek mount insert in 01 H6 Outback. I have the racing version. I can feel every piston fire at idle....

Overtime though it has softened a bit, but it basically turns the 4EAT mount into a solid piece. Originally I thought it was too harsh, but now I like it.
