94 Legacy Wagon New Speaker connection Issue

I have a 1994 Subaru Legacy Wagon and the back speakers are dead so the plan was to replace them. I bought some Infinity 6032cf 180 watt Speakers. The fit fine with the adapter that came with it. The issue is that the plug on the car is |-- (roughly) and the new speakers are set up -- --. So I am unable to just plug in the new speakers. I was wondering what should be done. I just thought today that I might be able to just touch the right contacts and then tape them together. I will put up some pictures for reference. If you could tell me what to do or what I should buy that would be great.

On my rear speaker I just cut the oem plug off and soldered the right connectors on the wires.

That's a cool little adapter!

I usually just cut the OEM conenction off and put new spade connectors on, but that adapter is pretty slick.
