Gauge Cluster Lighting
Well I've searched the site and couldn't find anything. I took apart the gauge cluster a month ago and noticed for the shift lights, door open lights, and the hi beam lights it uses tiny bulbs in a rubber casing with two wires attached to the bulb. They come out easily. I don't see why they can't be taken out and replaced with 3mm leds. Since it looks like no one has tried this I'll be the first one to do so. Wish me luck. lol In case this in the wrong spot please someone move it. Thank you

Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
Sorry man, you're a little late. I have done it on both of my cars. Great little mod when done and makes driving at night awesome again.

Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
Dear god, i've been looking for that specific thread forever. Thanks Tony. By the way, which leds did you end up getting? every time i go to superbrightleds.com or whatever, there's a million million 194 bulbs.
Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
I thought he was talking about the small lights in this thing....rather than the entire gauge cluster?

Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
Well than I stand corrected and need to read next time. Josh, I believe you are correct and yes I am not sure anyone has done that.

Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
Yup Josh is right. Those are the ones I am going to change. That actually helps me a lot since I need to know for sure how many I need

Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
should be simple enough if need be you can add a resistor to the wiring in the back on the harness for that indicator cluster

Gauge Cluster Lighting
Is there a bulb list for the cluster so I know how many to order of each?
Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
The HVAC controls take two 74 bulbs, the shifter indicator (auto) takes one 194, the cluster takes two 194 bulbs and four 74 bulbs, and the ring around the cigarette lighter takes one 74.

Re: Gauge Cluster Lighting
How do you change out the cigarette lighter ring light? I've been trying to figure out that one too
