Ah so we were right about the fuel leak. You lift the covers in your trunk to inspect those areas yet Patrick?

I had a fuel leak on my 92l wagon amd it ended up needing a new fuel feed tube. Because subaru decided to put a plastic cover over the feed tube in the wheel well. mud and sand and water gets stuck between the two and rust out the bend in the tube. If its not that lookvthe tube over very well and removeth cover to be safe

I got a new one just so i didmt have to worry about exisiting rust coming back. I washed the outside just so it was clean and taped off all the hole and painted it with like 20 coats of undercoating so it had a nice think rubber coating. The black tube in the wheel well was cool to. I shoulda painted it yellow....

Did you at least kill the rust first? Cause if not it'll pop up later and u'll be cursing at urself lol. The plastic shield is a useless dirt magnet imo

Grabbed a lock cylinder from a junkyard legacy, and took it to a master locksmith who keyed it to my car. $20 and 10 minutes later and I now can use my driver side door like a normal car :)

Make sure to take pics of the inside when/if you take it apart. I'd be curious to see the carnage.

It aids in the cooling properties of the block, but greatly impedes proper lubrication!

Got my oil catch can in today... I'm getting nasty oil vapors coming through my intake, ic, turbo, etc and hopefully this will alleviate the problem. Overall for 17$ shipped I'm happy with the part, just a couple questions after taking it apart.

1. What's the best thing/material to put I to the empty space to create more surface area for oil to collect and not just get sucked out the other way?

2. This is my first catch can so do I empty it by unscrewing the bottom end with the 4 Allan wrenches each time, twist the top cover cap off and let it seep/pour out slowly or take this black spring bolt out and let it come out the top?

You can use a stainless steel wool or something similar. It is cheap and increases the surface area for oil vapor collection.

Put in my rekeyed driver side lock cylinder. Noticed 2 connectors unplugged in there. Could that be why my power locks haven't worked since I put on that door? Derp a derp. (Yes it was)

Replaced some missing cluster lights in our 93ss. Now has a c.e. Bulb. Knock sensor code was stored, connected plugs and drove it and reset the ecu. We'll see if it becomes a problem. Also the AT oil temp bulb was gone and another light, replaced those and the burnt out bulb on the tach. Now its time to clear my prefaced head lights.

Finished up the UK gauge cluster rewiring. The dash is pretty much ready to go back in.

Pulled a pass rear hub from the junkyard to replace my noisy one. After swapping out my group-n pitch stopper for a standard one, the noisy bearing is biggest annoying noise left on my car.

Took it to a friends shop for what I thought would be a new driver side front axle and passenger side tie rods plus allignment. My noise on driver side ended up being a wheel bearing so shot beyond belief that it did this to my hub... Making me get a new one as well

Image

Then after that ran to get alignment and oil change... Feels tighter and smoother than ever!!
