Those just look like part of the grill and are kind of like "eye lid" type things for the head lights.

I cleaned the interior & washed the exterior of the Impreza and washed the exterior of the Legacy this weekend. Of course it rained after washing the cars. The Lego stayed dry in the garage though :)

In the last week I plasti-dipped my grill and windshield wipers, changed my oil, got an OBX crank pulley installed with new Gates drive belts, got new OEM front lower ball joints installed, and installed a new Denso alternator (mine was dying out).

Painted my black trim+chrome around my car with semi-gloss black spray paint. Hope it holds up through the winter.

Got my timing belt & seal replacement operation well underway today (finally!)

Cracked my crank pulley bolt loose with the starter and a breaker bar resting on the car:

As far as I could tell, the crank pulley bolt didn't shear from this action. (please feel free to check out the detail photos in the linked post below to see the bolt and the bolt hole in case you think you can help identify if this is not the case)

Bonus, my non-impact 22mm socket did not crack or chip at all during this process as I thought it might!

Anyway...long story short, what I thought would work (in my head planning to use 5th gear and a friend standing on the brakes to allow me to crack loose the cam pulley bolts before timing belt removal) won't (automatic transmission) :o

So... I reckon I could use the same starter trick to crack loose the cam pulley bolts:
ImageImageImage
^^^ .....no?

Would this be a terrible, horrible idea? And why? They aren't reverse-threaded or anything ridiculously dumb like that, are they? Can I do this?

Finally finished all the ECU related wiring changes to run my rob tune ECU on my EJ20G using the stock harness. I REALLY wish I had just did a 5spd swap and rob tune on the EJ22T with the 2ch ignition converter. Would have been sooooooooooo much easier. I already had everything needed to do it that way... but oh well, its almost done now.

Put an additional 150miles on me engine today. Now at 550miles, no smoke, no timing issues, and drives good. Installed the boost controller and got it to 15lbs for now. Waxed the car for an additional 5hp. Feels and looks tits.

Swapped the 6.5 inch front speakers for 5.25 inch ones. The 6.5 inch ones wouldn't clear the windows.

Replaced all of the bolts and studs on my TD05. Didn't take that long, but not very fun doing it with the Turbo on the car. Car is getting VERY close to being able to be fired up!

I was going to say that they fit very well.

Danny, knowing your affinity for lights, i'm surprised you don't have a set or two.
