turbo wagon help!

Post by ugaucin »

Im having problems with my turbo wagon. The problems are #1. The back two cylinders are not firing. #2 I got a check engine light for the fuel injectors. The cel just turned on today. My wagon has been out for about a week. I got a new coil pack and the two cylinders still aren't firing. Any ideas?

Have you verified whether the back two cylinders are getting spark or if the injectors are not firing?

Which codes were present in the ECU?

Have you done the active diagnostic to see what active codes are coming up? If not, I'd suggest doing that. The instructions are on my site.

Yeah did it with a spark plug tester, no spark in cylinder 3 and 4. Codes we're 14,15,16,17, and 22. I change out the knock sensor about 3 months ago so I don't know why that popped up. Now this is something I can't really figure out.

Hi,
I'd check your wiring harness @ the coil pack - follow it down and around the throttle body.
Also, try another igniter....Josh can confirm that.

Just throwing out ideas but: change ecu, re-ground all your ground points, new spark plugs, new injectors (cause the cel), check voltage on your coil pack plug

Have you tested your coil pack? Check the coil pack:

If it tests out good, check the wiring from the coil pack to the igniter, and then from the igniter to the ECU. If all that is good, then it's possible that ignition channel on the ECU got fried or isn't working.
