10 degree rear spoiler shims

Post by pooh »

Anyone know where I can get 4 10 degree spoiler shims for my 93 legacy? I purchased a spoiler on ebay, went to have it put on and no shims. Kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place because I cant get her painted until I get the spoiler on...thanks

Is this for a stock spoiler or aftermarket?

I'd imagine a competent machine shop could make a couple shims for you.

Help with spoiler shims

Post by pooh »

OKAY..heres the situation. I bought an aftermarket rear spoiler for my 93 Legacy just for looks, not racing. but it came without shims. I was told I need 10 degree so I started searchin. Found 4, 6, and 8, but no 10. Any ideas of where to get these shims and if I need 10s or not. Now I own a useless new rear spoiler that is holding up my paint job until I get it put on. Any Ideas and thanks again...PS I dont make wood or metal items myself

Pooh,

I merged your other thread into this existing thread. No need to post a new thread for the same topic.

Can you post/share pictures of what the 4, 6, or 8 mm shims look like? As Kimo mentioned, you may be able to get a machine shop to make you a set, but having not seen what the spoiler shims look like I couldn't say for certain.

Just a side not for other members, if you don't have any suggestions or help for the original poster, please refrain from posting.

Thanks
Josh
