radiator fitment issue

Post by silver03 »

The plastic end tank on our OEM 94 Legacy L wagon radiator has recently developed a couple of pin hole leaks. The car is a 5MT. Are there any fitment issues if I put one in from a 4eat car? thanks

It's fits no problem, just cap off the transmission lines. I've seen the cooler get corroded and eventually fail and coolant will leak out.

This. The two lines in question will be poking out of the end of the radiator opposite the expansion tank. Mine came capped with rubber when I bought it new; perhaps the board has a recommendation on capping technique/materials?

Plain old rubber caps work fine. That's what I've got on mine.

Been running mine the same way for a few weeks now. Zero issues to report.
