Is that your old Bilstien setup from your black car? If so, I remember it was super low.

Re: Mike's 92 SS
Yeah same setup as black car. Ill see how it goes when its running again. Still got to put new tabs on it. Tired of spending endless money on it before it runs.

Re: Mike's 92 SS
Nope. $3500 - if you count the price of the ej22t engine that spun a bearing.

Nor am I - the "other" ej20g I had after the forged one blew up in the black car
Just yanking your chain CJ. Point is, we spend way too much on these old damn cars. This one better deliver the goods lol.

Re: Mike's 92 SS
If you call your labor free. And the labor for the last bunch of flipped cars to afford a busted swapped Fozzie. And the luck in finding deals. And r he luck in finding people to buy the parts in a timely manner. And the luck in not having emergencies that eat away all fun money such as medical problems, children, divorce etc etc etc.
You're selling yourself short gabe, you've put an enormous amount of work into getting a 'free' 6mt

Man, why you gotta bust my balls. I'm basking in the glory and can hardly believe I was able to do it over here. Haha. Technically, I'm still upside down on the deal until I get the Gramlights sold, but not by much.

You're gonna have a sweet 2.5RS with an EJ207 and DCCD 5-speed pretty soon. You're not doing too bad yourself.

Yeah I much prefer it to a GD STI or even a BD WRX swap. I drove a couple of Slavik's GC STI swaps including an ej207 and it's pretty much all I ever wanted in a Subaru

Re: Mike's 92 SS
Well back to the SS - I found I didn't grind enough off the bottom of the tranny's bellhousing so the engine came out. 5 minutes of grinding and I am back in business.
Installed my 3" exhaust. It consists of an MRT divorced down pipe with a high flow cat, a custom midpipe with an 18" resonator, and a modified SPT Bosal muffler. Quiet until you step on it then it has that classic rumble we love.
Car needs new tabs, and Friday after work I'll send off those injectors to Witchhunter.
In other news, it is Seafair weekend, and the Navy's Blue Angels were out practicing over Lake Washington, coming as close as 500 feet from the high-rise I'm working on. The boss even let us have an extra 15 minutes at lunch to watch them. Flipin' sweet!

The GC is clearly far inferior to the BD.mike-tracy wrote:Alphius wrote:You're gonna have a sweet 2.5RS with an EJ207 and DCCD 5-speed pretty soon. You're not doing too bad yourself.

Our taste in cars is an interesting thing. I've never met an Impreza I liked all that much. I can appreciate a well-done one, but I wouldn't own one.

Re: Mike's 92 SS
Well I'm still waiting on those injectors. I've been working 60 hours this and will next week so the car has gone down the priority list. I start school again in September and there goes my free time. I'll get done, someday.

Re: Mike's 92 SS
So I've been messing with the car here and there. Had several 60 hour weeks go by and the motivation is slipping.
Anyways where I'm at:
Engine is installed. It turns over but won't catch. Has spark but no fuel.
The fuel pump plug has 12v and 5v on two of the wires when the car is in "ACC." So I believe the relay is working. I tried a different walbro that was pulled from a friend's forester that ran a month ago. Nothing. No prime or any noises. Same thing with the stock pump which I used as recently as a month ago also. Tomorrow I'll try a different ecu.
