Taking damn PCV valve off!

I got a new PCV valve from Autozone yesterday. Tried undoing the old one with my 19mm closed-wrench. No dice. Anyone know how to loosen the thing up? I don't wanna screw up the manifold threads.

add more force behind it.......make sure you are doing the lefty loosy method instead of righty tighty ;)

Sometimes it's easier if the manifold is warm. And sometimes it's easier if it's cold.

Sometimes it also helps to turn it very slightly clockwise first.

I'd rather use the air tools. They sound cooler!

Those air tools could cause some damage. If you are set on using them you should probably keep it on a low setting. I've seen wheel lugs strip comming off using those things. Good Luck

They're not mine, but a friend of mine has a compressor and a set of tools to go with it. I used to hate doing installs suchs as suspensions and stuff (those damn strut bolts!!) but now, I just hook up the air gun and *snap* they're off!!

I might try a breaker bar first, just to control the torque a little bit.

penetrating oil and heat almost always work for me. might be siezed though.
