I have the jump on some 2.5 sti heads with manifold.
Are you guys sure they will bolt right up to my ej22T? I have searched and not found to much on the sti heads/ej22T block.
Thanks
Dustin

I had heard something about using the EJ257 heads on the EJ22T block on NASIOC IIRC and the head bolts need lengthened or something but besides that they worked. I don't actually know personally though so....

Have you tried this Kelley? Is there any problems with the coolant passeges lining up with our blocks, like the 2.5 n/a heads have?

Kelly, what is your ecu? the vvt for the sti's work on their own at a certain rpm and dont require the ecu to turn them on. It will not be as much of a gain as if i would have the sti ecu, but it will still be better then nothing. I am running a TEC 3 stand alone ecu, so i am not sure how your ecu would work with it. As far as I know no aftermarket ecu will be able to controll vvt.
Thanks for the input

Some ECUs can control the VTEC switch, but I don't know about Subaru's system. How does it work - does an increase in oil pressure drive it and how variable is it? Is it a simple can lobe switch like Honda or a more variable system like some other manufacturers use?
