One thing good about owning a "girls' car."

This is for non-Subaru related topics. Keep it realistic please.

Laurel, I have had almost the exact same arguement about adjustable wings. I think she blamed it more on me thinking I know everything because I'm male though...

And guys, I hate to tell you this, but we drive old person cars. There's two legacy sedans (one turbo, one NA) close to my house that both have handicap signs hanging from the rearview mirror. In nearly a year of owning the car, I've met only *two* people driving legacies that were close to my age.

Yeah, there was a big thread about it on the USMB, who had gotten some in a Scoob. They were about to make a sticker for it

Oh, if she doesn't drive, then all bets are off. I do not want to be putting miles on my car ALL of the time. Gas is getting to $2 a gallon you know...

I need a woman who at least has an interest if not the obsession I have. I taught my ex to check out the underneath of muscle cars at shows (her preferred cars - she drove a Monte SS) and all the dudes would look at me like I was the man (after she'd gotten up and they weren't looking at her ass anymore).

There are so many aspects of just cars to be interested in that two people could love cars and their interests would still hardly overlap.

I'm a member of the 6-star. Multiple times in the back of the wagon and once on the hood. Knocked the teeth out of the old wagon's grill.

Laurel - you should check out my next book if I ever start it (finally finished the second novel so I have time) - Embarrass Your Boyfriend - A Woman's Guide to Cars. I wrote a thread about it - http://www.bbs.legacycentral.org/viewto ... ually+sell

lol. . . you should totally do that, Steve.

Thing is, when Laurel flexes her mental powers with cars, even if she's proving me wrong on something in public, I just smile and know that every other guy standing around wishes she was THEIR girlfriend.

Oh come on, art school's grat for chicks. My roommate met one at CCS who's daddy owned Charettes. She introduced herself as so, "Hi, I'm bi." My roommate and I concurred that it was because she had to take what she could get - he nicknamed her Big Red because she was fat and had red dyed dreadlocks like a Raggedy Ann doll [shudder].

Luckily I had mine from before I went to school there.

LOL! Emasculated!

I actually find it pretty HOT when a girl knows about cars. Much less works on them! *OUCH!*

*Jason starts envisioning a set of hot girls working on his car in a set of mechanics overalls (unzipped, of course) all greased up*

Ah, that would be the life:)

seriously, very old person cars. Our problem is they're so damn practical... I've only seen one other person around my age driving one, and his first car was a lumina, but it exploded, so his dad made him get another old person car.

Yep. I have driven 2 "old person" cars. The 95, and now the 94.

I never understood the practicality of a coupe. No rear-seat access, expensive body parts. Getting to be FWD exclusive. Usually underpowered.

You know it's sad when the G35 Sedan would be faster than the G35 Coupe had Infiniti/Nissan not de-tuned it.

I still enjoyed driving my crx more than i do my legacy, in nice weather. 2 seaters are sportier, generally get better gas mileage, and if you get a small enough one, it's go-kart

I suppose. I've driven a few cars in my day, and as fun as they are, the practicality of the Legacy was just cooler.

But then again, all the coupe's I've driven have been bigger than my Sedan. (Z28 Camaro and a BMW 8 series)

I REALLY would love to have a 240SX though. Those are just great.

It must be the just-over-quarter-life-crisis in me that doesn't want to be practical anymore.

Plus, I thought about it, and I don't really like the idea of being the only person in the group of friends I hangout with that had a "big" car. Now, I only can seat one adult, about my size in the passenger front seat (I'd opt for a girl), and two small girls in the rear seat.

Now, see how MY choice is PRACTICAL? :P
