HI,

does anybody have a good idea for this topic? I'm thinking about doin this because i hit the passenger-side door to side pole when i tried to park my subi and made big dent. so, i thought this is the cheapest way I can replace it. so if you have any idea, please reply.

one of my rally buddies hit an ice block in a rally cross and did some big damage to the door, but got it repaired at a bodyshop for pretty cheap. Cheaper, than replacing the whole door atleast.

If you can get a door for cheap it shouldnt' be too dificult, but probably time consuming. i've taken off doors before, doesn't seem like it would be bad to put one back on.

The difficulty is in lining it back up. Get one or two jacks that you can level to adjust the angle (both vertical and horizontal), height, and depth. If you leave the old hinges on it should be relatively easy (although you'll still need the jack to keep the door up unless you're a house like Hardy and can hold it with one hand). There'll probably still be a little tweeking required, but it should be close. I wouldn't want to pay a body shop to replace it - have them repair it, it'll likely be a lot cheaper.
