Can i get 180 wheel hp w/ an ej22t
Simple question, i want 180 hp at the wheels(well 160hp will do since its awd). I'm using the ej22t, stock turbo, intercooler(audi), i will have custom exhaust, and downpipe, fuel pressure riser and rise the boost at 11psi.
Anybody has real number from their own legacy on a dyno?
I just want the same performance that i had with my golf VR6, 180hp/180tq at the wheels.
Thanks

I'm sure if Legacy92ej22t strapped onto the rollers, he'd put about that (160 - 180) to the wheels.

I think it won't be pulling much more than 120 at the wheel, the awd takes a lot of hp. The vr6 had 200hp at the crank, and gave 180 at the wheel. So 160hp for the stock ej22t, and let say the awd take twice the friction than a fwd, we have 120hp at the wheel.
So, to achieve my 180 w/hp goal i need more than 200hp from the ej22t at the crank, possible

I believe the accepted drivetrain loss is about 20%, IIRC
to get 180 HP to the wheels, you would need about 225 to the crank.

sorry NICO, a wrx turbo running 18psi will not give you 350HP, even a VF22 turbo would not be able to do that. put it on a dyno or run it down the quarter to back up your claims before saying stuff that could be potentailly embarrassing.

I beleive that, its easy to beat 5ltr V8's and 911's, they are SLOW, depends what street bikes your talking about, I have not much trouble despatching of up to 600cc bikes, anything over that I'm in trouble. just because you beat those doesn't mean you have 350HP, remember V8's are very heavy - they need that power just to move!91White-T wrote:I'm gonna have to call BS on that one...sorryNICO I WRX U wrote: i can beat street bikes 911 turbos any big block 5.0liters and all kinds of stuff, my list is huge.
