Teh Sickness

Post by Yukonart »

I seriously don't know what's wrong with me, this week.

Last five days in a row. . . stomach issues. I mean, the kind that have you getting up half a dozen times in the middle of the night.

Now, I'm not entirely sure if I've ever had stomach flu before. What are the symptoms?

I'm NOT nausious
I DON'T have any kind of fever
My body does NOT ache

I don't even have that funny feeling in my head that I get when I know some kind of cold is coming on. I just. . . well, let's just say the bathroom has been one of my salvations, as of late. . . .

. . . and a very supportive, understanding, and non-judgemental girlfriend.

Hahaha, I was there. A bad burger at the Outback, and I had to hit the procelin bench wicked bad. Thank GOD my girlfriend understands, lol.

You might have just eaten something that jacked your stomach up like I did. The only symptom I usually have is my butt exploding.

Well. . . I hope it was just something I ate. I feel bad that I may have been contagious with something this whole time and not realize it. :(

Can eating something like that jack one's stomach up for close to a week, though?

All week is long for food poisoning or ecoli - usually goes in 24 hrs.

Norwalk is REALLY bad - I felt like I was going to die and didn't know which end was going to burst next and had horrible hot and cold flashes following one another with a bad headache and painful joints. I'm glad I didn't have a girlfriend around for that. I felt too disgusting to live with just myself, but it only lasted a day and a half.

The one time I got the flu it lasted a few days, but I only had the 'slipperies' for about a day.

Make sure you stay hydrated and drink small sips at a time. I went to the emergency room for Norwalk (I told you I thought I was dying. I rarely get sick, anyway and this was BAD). They told me I just caught Norwalk and put 2 liters of water in me through IV. Good thing, too as I couldn't seem to drink the water I needed and I felt a ton better after.

Good luck, man.

Nerves?

I had problems in college with stress of the whole thing and I would be sick every day, no matter when or what I ate...

Doc said it was stress related.

Well, not sure what it was, but as of Sunday night/Monday morning it went away. Good thing, too. I would have had a really bad time at Bumbershoot, otherwise. Poor Laurel would have spent half the day waiting outside the men's room for me, and would have made me feel even worse. :(

But that didn't happen, so it was all good. :)

Sometimes I wonder if there's a bright side to the slipperies - when they're gone you appreciate how great it is not to be the toilet's bitch.

A joke.

"Power is NOTHING without control" in regards to the slipperies.

I can't take credit for the term 'slipperies'. It goes to this engineer, Greg, that I worked with. He reminded me of the character Drew from Office Space, but likeable and not as obnoxious.

More irrelevant information ...
