Good to have a new member, welcome.

What kind of intake are you using? Do you mind if I ask why you want an aftermarket intake?

The general consensous is that anything but the stock airbox hurts performance. If it's sound you're after remove the snorkus. What is a crank case breather?

Probably one of those little filters you can stuff on the end of one of your PCV lines.

You've surely seen them around, and just aren't making the connection.

They don't really do anything for performance.

Teague's auto sells the maf adapters www.boxer4racing.com

Like others have mentioned, the stock intake box typically is pretty good to stick with.

Hmm, could one make a MAF adapter by cutting the end off a stock MAF sensor?

Well, some people have bad MAF sensors lying around.

While I was writing that post, EJ22_SLO deleted his post where he noted that that would be an expensive adaptor.

The crank case breathers help reduce blowby being sucked back into the intake. One of the guys with a turboed RS in Denver had crankcase breathers on his engine.

Why not just use a catch-can?

That would be another option. I finally figured out where to attatch one on our engines and i ordered one off ebay. So hopefully no more oil on the firewall.

Where are you going to set it up? The line from the Crank Case fork to the intake?

I'm just going to make a catch can. I see no need to pay $80 for something I can make myself, and have it look just as good.

I think there are two places that we can place them. One Vrg3 pointed out as being the top of the F pipe. I found mine collected rust colored liquid there. The other place comes out of the top of the engine and connects to the resonator on the intake.

The open intakes do help top end performance, but can also reduce low-end torque. I didn't really notice this until I put the stock airbox back on.

Drive around with the intake, see how you like it, then put the stock airbox back on, and see if you notice a difference.
