That we as Turbo Legacy/NA Legacy owners try and make our cars into pesudo replicas of WRX's? For instance, WRX seats, WRX exhaust, hood scoop, ect. It's not so much that it's a bad thing, I just found it funny.
PS- Don't get butt hurt if it looks like I offended you. I love the WRX and SS equally.
The Impreza is currently the US-production peformance platform offered by Subaru. Where you guys THINK you're going to find the most abundant OEM takeoff performance upgrades from?

I want nothing more than to just spank the WRXs. Bad imprezza! Down you go!
I'll take some internals though.....hmmm, brakes, now thats an idea!

I'm not trying to turn my car into anything resembling a wrx. I personally have a strong dislike for wrxs.
I have the seats because they're cheaper than race seats and aren't uncomfortable like turbo seats. I stuck with legacy suspension, the exhaust I have because it says "STi" on it, and the only other thing I plan to nick off a wrx is the turbo, and that's because they're dirt cheap.

Ehh... bad assumption. There are a grand total of like 2 board members that are trying to make their car look like a JDM and/or USDM STi, but no one I know of that is trying to make the car look like a USDM WRX.
I have parts from a WRX wagon on my car, I'm not trying to make it look like a wagon am I? Most parts are functional and not for looks only. Even those with WRX scoops are trying to get more air over their TMIC. Those with STi scoops, well... refer to my second sentence.
I don't think most of us are trying to make our cars look like rex's, I know I'm sure the hell not, but there is an abundent supply of cheap wrx parts out there that will fit out cars.
I might be doing a WRX scoop on my car (if I can ever finish the paint that is) but it's not to make it look like a rex, it's to get air across my TMIC.
I have Rex wheels on my car too but it's not to make it look like a rex either. It's to make it look like a Legacy with nicer wheels then the stockers and I got them dirt cheap.
That's my take on it anyways. I like rex's but I want my car to look like a nice BC.

"Hand-me-down" upgrades are great. The same thing happened with base Impreza owners buying the stock parts from 2.5RS owners who were themselves often upgrading those parts to the JDM/EDM WRX versions.
If a part is an upgrade for your car and is available relatively cheaply since it is "only a stock part" for the owner of the other car, then great for you.
I mean look at the WRX top mount intercooler. It's a great IC and would be very expensive to buy new or to have someone like Spearco build a clone of it, but since many WRXs are "dumping" them for upgraded models, it makes a good (and very cheap) upgrade for the EA82T car and Legacy Turbos.
Another example is the shift knob in my RX...the stock tall plastic P.O.S. is horrid (it actually flexes when you shift...ugh), but stock WRX shift knobs go quite cheaply on eBay...so for WAY less than a decent aftermarket shift knob would have cost (especially a direct screw-on model instead of those nasty set-screw deals), I have a greatly improved shift knob that screws right on with no modification required.

I should have clarified. It's more like we use a lot of WRX parts, generally because there is no market for Legacy parts. I understand that people my not be trying to make their cars look "exactly" like WRX's, but I found it amusing that we use so many parts from cars that most of you dislike.
Hardy, since this thread is kinda going to shit, i wanted to ask about your sig.. which, makes for a *shitty* segway.
Really, what's up with the new sig? It's very funny, but I'm confused..

This coming from the same person who told me less than a month ago " . . . drove a WRX at work today, and I really liked it. I think I may buy one when I'm done with school . . . " ?

It's from the episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force called "Little Brittle". It's part of the song that Little Brittle sings. In case you don't know the backstory behind him he was first MC Pee Pants an 8 foot spider, then he was Sir Loin, a cow, then he had a brief stint as a worm, and now he's Little Brittle, an old man on his death bed. Each time he wears a shower cap, has yellow eyes, and wears a disposable diaper. Each time he gets killed somehow and satan revives him as a new thing. And each time he has some crazy plan. Anyway it was a part of the song. Meatwad was singing it. T'was funny
