cam sproket identification marks

Post by ars14 »

Ok, so looking at the front of the engine, the drivers side cam sproket has an L on it,and the passenger has an R. I havent pulled them off yet so I just wanted to know if It is based on siting in the drivers seat?

Easy way to tell....the driver's side has protruding "bumps" on the back for the cam sensor.

Everything on the car is labeled such that you are viewing the car from behind or inside the car, I believe all cars are like this. They don't turn very easy if there is load on them.
