More like the Elise is a far better-handling car than the Esprit. The Exige also gets my vote, though . . . specifically the Sport. . . thing is BADASS!

1994 & 2005 Legacy GT Wagons
Definitely an Elise. I like the Esprit V8s, but they're like other expensive exotics.
The Pagani is the best built and designed 'productiion' car I've ever seen. It's like a work of art similar to the one-off prewar exotics.

You can't +1 your own comment! If I could afford to get a toy car like an Atom, I'd spend a bit more money and get it brought up to code, or if I couldn't do that, I'd import it as a kit car.

I think you can in the US... that's how a lot of the replicar manufacturers get around safety and emissions restrictions.

If a car was built in the last 15 years and it was built to Canadian spec, its basically impossible to get it into the country.
I am looking into some kind of insurance scam, where I get an Exige and register it to an address in Washington, and insure it down there, but I dunno if I can get that working under realistic costs.

Manual set belts with the CG Lock to hold the belt tight
Lotus Elite or even more fun a the "Seven" now built as the Caterham 7.
Subtle (normally aspirated engines suck):
05 Legacy GT Wagon with Cobb chip.
62 Alfa Romeo Spider- had a 1.6 L with 80 hp, now 2 L with 160 torque. Curb weight 2050 lbs.
93 Leg Twgn fmic, vf34, etc. ((sold))
Elite? Which one? The '70's one was terrible (I came close to buying the very similar Eclat, but talked to a Lotus guy first) and the original, gorgeous as it is, has a fiberglass monocoque ... even the strut towers. It's a mess to deal with, but we are talking Lotus, I suppose. I'd like a street-legal Lotus 11 for all that.

Esprit. Why? It's hella fast..and it's got that super car look that I like.
