I had 3 flatbeds in a 1 year, 3 month period on my TW:
-tow one after Matt Monson and I installed the replacement tranny(we didnt get the Torque Converter on right, and the seal was bad too). I did get it to the corner grocery store from his garage, This is after we put in the tranny........
-a week after i redid the above stuff, the connecter plug was loose, could not start car, coudlnt even turn key or put in neutral for flatbed.
-when the flexplate broke (relates to first above too) when we were trying to shove together tranny and engine, it probably cracked it then, then it broke in 2 pieces.

doesnt AAA have a four tow limit per year? I need to look up the contract for mine.

Once when my waterpump exploded driving along lake tahoe

Once when I ran into a curb and bent a control arm and wheel.

Also I got dragged out of the ditch once in high school. Ice + brake check + new driver.

Probably about six times,

-wheel bearing got soo bad it disintegrated,
-Transmission locked in 3rd and reverse or something like that at the same time,
-Auto tranny was fubared when I first bought the car
-recent possible spun bearing
-another time when my friend threw a rod through the top of the engine.
-and towed the car to denver before I started doing my own mods on it.

There were probably more times but not from what I can think of at the moment.

twice

Once for not paying attention and going in the ditch. Bent the control arm in front.

Again for hitting a deer at 100 mph. Bad deal.

Towed? Never. Pulled out of sticky situations, then continuing normally however, thats another story:

I've been stuck in sugar sand nine times, stuck in thick mud twice, got stuck on a rut once... Somethings telling me I should swap my FWD wagon for an AWD.
