Hey guys. After I replaced my knock sensor my check engine light went out which was great. My dad came and looked around the motor. He found a broken vacuum hose right here.
I should have took pics before taking off the hose to show you how it broke. Looked like it just cracked and it was basically leaving a huge hole definitely no vacuum. Got a vacuum hose and popped it in.

hum, you should have been throwing a code for that. thats the pressure exchange solenoid and that hose rund to the pressure sensor. Should get a code 45 if thats not right. you see a noticable difference with this connected no?

Well what kind of noticeable difference? Also there was no check engine light when I was driving to the store to get the hose with it completely off. I took a long drive and according to the gauge which is usually pretty accurate, i am getting about 550-600km per 50L. Was running pretty good. The car needs new plugs and OEM wires, right now it has aftermarket wires. Didn't really notice anything though. Maybe fuel economy if anything.

Ya but I do not have any mods. If anything I can get much more consistent fuel economy if I get some new tires. These tires have SOOO much road noise so I am sure there is alot of rolling resistance.

That is pretty good mpg. I can get around 480km on a tank, and thats regular highway driving.
It's odd that you never threw a code for that, and your mileage is still good. Generally, if even the most piddly vac. hose on these cars isn't tight, the whole car runs like garbage.

Maybe the sensor is not working properly? When they did the emissions it was weird. on neutral test my 93 N/A at 2500rpm shows 36PPM you need 200PPM to pass. This 94 SS showed 15PPM at 2500rpm. Why so much less? At idle though it was like 30+PPM on the 94SS. while the 93 n/a idle test showed over 41PPM. When my 94 SS did the emmisions it was before I fixed the check engine light (was a cracked knock sensor) and it had that hose broken to the point where it was not making any possible vacuum.
Next time it is pretty warm outside. Going to remove all the intake hoses and clean them up. Also going to clean out the throttle body. At the same time do the plugs. Only thing really bothering me is how loud this fuel pump is and it was recently replaced.

lol I am saying I found it broken while replacing my cracked knock sensor. More then likely putting in a new knock sensor fixed the fuel economy issue.

The vacuum line connects the solenoid to the hard line which goes to the charcoal canister in the front of the car.
With that open like that, you have the potential to run lean since at cruising speeds the solenoid opens.
oops you are totally right, my mistake, I see now what your talking about, the picture was so zoomed in that I was confused about the location in regards to the engine compartment.
