5MT Swap questions.

Post by troypg15 »

I've been lurking around here a bit, but havent posted yet. I have a 1994 Touring Wagon, and i really want to do a manual swap. What i havent been able to gather is...

1. What Manual trans do i need? WRX? T-leg Sedan? What years? And do i need the entire drivetrain? Diff, axles, knuckles, driveshaft?
2. Will i need e-manage, or any aftermarket ecu upgrades to do this (since im obd1)?
3. What other misc. parts do i need to do this swap?

Also, i know im in the drivetrain forum, but i'm really looking to put some more boost to this beast. What larger turbo can i run that i wont need to do fuel upgrades for? And that will fit the wierd 45 degree angle thing that ive heard about without fabbing something up? Also, ive heard wrx performance parts are interchangeable, such as exhaust and DP's. Thanks for all the help guys, ive been a subie fanatic for awhile now, and finally have my own now!

Here she is.
