Is this just the stock ej22e motor? I've heard of some of them taking quite a bit of abuse with just a rising rate and low boost.

What diameter up pipe is that? Looks pretty big. I think you want to keep that at stock diameter for optimal velocity and spool up.

yeah its a stock ej22e. and the up and dp are both 2.5 inches. idk why it looks so big in the picture.

I think the stock inside diameter of the up pipe is like 1" maybe 1.5". I don't know how much of a difference there will be.

When going cheap, optimal is not necessarily part of the equation, so splitting those hairs may not be necessary.

I have no doubt it will make boost. Hopefully you have a way of adding fuel. Anymore details on your setup?

haha it wasnt made to be a performance machine. i just didnt have any smaller piping laying around. im just doing this cuz for fun. details are...

ej22t heads
ej22t injectors
ej22t waterpump
apexi neo
aem eugo wideband.
stock ej22e bottom end
ebay wastegate set at 4 psi
turbo is a tb0363 from and older volvo. comparable to a vf11

btw the neo isn't part of the 500. i had that before i started this

That's crazy, your fuel lines stick up super far above the manifold. I dunno if they're like that stock on the EJ22T but on my EJ20G they're the same level as the manifold.

SHES FINALLY RUNNING THE WAY I LIKE. currently on 5 lbs. so far it beats a 93 saab 9000 cse/aero conversion, a stock legacy with an ej25. EWG is kinda annoyying. i might run it back into the exaust to quiet things up a bit =]
anyone with questions?
