92 Turbo with a Blown Transmission

It seems like I blew my transmission out of my 92 legacy turbo wagon in a tsd rally yesterday, so I am wondering if there are any other suabarus that use the same tranny as mine (92 legacy 2.2 turbo auto)

It seems like the turbo cars are kind of rare around here so it might be difficult to find one out of a legacy and a re-built one from a shop is way more than the damn car is worth


Any help would be appreciated

The 91-94 turbo legacy transmissions should all be a direct plug and play. The 92-94 non-turbo AT's also had a 3.9 final drive ratio, so they should work. You may need to swap the TCU, but if you go that route, I'd probably try the turbo legacy TCU.

I'm in Calgary Canada. I have been looking around at the wreckers here, but the turbo version of my car seems kind of rare around here for some reason

Does anyone know if a transmission out of a 99 2.2 legacy would work?

I believe that is a phase 2 4EAT and probably will not be a direct swap.
