Manual Boost control install?

Post by mx4life »

I have an ej20 and am not familiar with the vacuum lines. I have it hooked up like this. Is this correct? Its a turbosmart bleed off type.

Came this this diagram with your mbc? Then I guess it should work as it should. What kind of boost reading are you getting?

One question about this type of mbc by the way. Why do some have a seperate t-piece and a boost adjust like this one, while others (GrimmSpeed, Dawes device) only have one component in the line between turbo and wastegate?

Personally, I'd prefer a blocking type boost controller over a bleed type. The blocking type boost controllers allow for boost to build quicker compared to the bleed types. The bleed types may be better at controlling spikes and overboost, but a properly setup of blocking type works fine.

Any suggestions for a brand or website?
