I have a 5sp trans and I left my half shafts attached to the hub assy. I don't know if it's different for the 4eat. And as for service manuals, nothing beats a set of Factory Service Manuals IMO. You may find a set on ebay or in the Parts Shed for around $100.00 give or take. But the haynes will do ...

For as much money as they charge, you would think the shelfs would be adjustable. Oh well....... it still works out.

I can't give you prices until I find my invoice, but it isn't too pricey.....

IMO you don't need a new joint. Just bushings. And the spring.

You are going to love the results of this..... I just put in new bushings and I am very happy with it. :D

So, I busted out my Dremel and went to town on that damn thing. A combination of that, a screwdriver, and a pair of needle nose, did the trick. The speedometer works great.
I'll see if I can take some pics of the aftermath......

Front Bumper Assembly Question...

Will a front bumper assembly from a 91 LSI fit on my 91 L wagon?

What is the difference between the two, if any?

Thanks for the help....

The exact same thing happened to me... I don't know if I necessarily recommend the following, but I heated the side of the gearbox around the fitting with map gas. I only heated it just enough so that the plastic turd turned a little mushy, then I folded it in on itself with a screwdriver and pulle...

Problems removing speedo cable from trans...

So a while back I posted asking how to take off the speedo cable from the trans. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=36902&highlight= I thought it came off from there at the time. Turns out it breaks part way up, so I took the clip off, breaking it in the process, `:x and it wasn't comi...

Clutch pedal has no tension....

My clutch pedal snaps back to the firewall and stays there. Then snaps back when I pull it back.

What am I missing? What can I check? Hopefully it's another 'forehead slap' situation.....

Thanks

BINGO!! I definitely missed one. Gosh, I've been staring at this shit all day and didn't see that. (slap forehead)

Attached it and it started up like nothing happened.

Thanks everybody!

So I made sure the signal wire was attached and I hammer-tapped the starter, with no result. I couldn't find anything out of place, or anything not connected. And she worked like a charm before she went under the knife. It has been sitting for a while, 3-4 months. I wish cars had a backup pull-start...

I also found a connector that isn't connected. But I can't find anything to plug it into. Right by the passenger side headlight. There is the plug that goes into the headlight, then there is another plug underneath it. What is it and where does is plug in? Fuel pump maybe? I really appreciate the he...

Thanks, I will check out the starter signal wire, and I'll give her a little hammer tap.

I also just noticed that the fuel pump isn't coming on when I turn the key...... I didn't think I unplugged anything involving that......

How can I check that out?

Thanks for the replies......

Car won't start after clutch replacement....

I have a EJ22 and I just put everything back together. When I try to start it, the starter goes "click" and that's it.
I checked the battery, and it's good. I don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks :?
