Isn't that what the adjustment to the tranny bands is for? I don't know much about this, other than just that - you adjust the tension in the bands (2 of them?), and I *think* it would affect the problem you're seeing.

Get your alignment checked, and if that doesn't do it, get your tires balanced. If the brakes were causing the shaking, you'd feel it in the brake pedal, not the wheel.

I had exactly the same symptoms, and, like Mike, found that it was the canister purge control valve solenoid. I replaced that part ($100) and havn't seen the check engine light since.

My guess would be that the timing belt was not installed correctly. Specifically, the camshaft timing is probably off.

So far my plan is to buy 2 agx front struts for a later model legacy, install them and set them soft, so i can use my non busted rear struts until i have enough money to buy rears. Can i get away with this? What issues might i run into?
