Re: 93 Legacy SS performance part out

No 90 degree bend. The car sat for the last 8 months and I put a battery in it and drove it about a month ago and now it's back to sitting. Here's what it looks like under the hood.

Yeah, I'll be selling it, it needs a new flex coupling I'll post pics as I'm able. It's stainless steel so shipping might be expensive

Re: 93 Legacy SS performance part out

I don't have the engine out right now, but the block
has custom sized cp forged pistons, sti rods and race bearings. I'll pull it when I get time. Right now I'm working and studying for the pcat.

Re: 93 Legacy SS performance part out

I'll be selling everything that's in decent shape off the car before I scrap it. The ej22t block that's in the car now
has a scratched cylinder wall where a valve broke and hit the piston. As it sits now it smokes until the car gets hot, then it stops.

Re: Ru's build

Well, the subaru is all fixed up and it's powerful. I put some new heads on it. But it's been sitting for the last couple of months as its been replaced by my new daily driver. I'll probably tune the suby and run it at the track this year hopefully. http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/2555/photoxe.jpg

I"ve always been interested about WWII it seems like that generation was just tough as nails. My grandfather was shot four times storming the beach at iwo jima as a marine. He never talked much about the war though, mostly hunting and fishing.

Another add on. I keep pace with a black Stg2 LGT sedan. He says Cobb tuned stg2 (off the shelf map I assume) and that it was 300hp (BHP I would think). We did a few pulls from a slow roll (1st gear) to 70mph or so. I can't say I pulled on him at all - pretty dead even. I'm good with that 8) . I ha...

I hate that they got rid of dedicated servers and it doesn't look like there's a way to kick someone once hacks start coming out if they haven't already. I'm level 40 now but there's already people over level 60. I guess they never stop playing. Love the perks in the game though. The commando combin...

All women have a little crazy in them.....some just have a little more than others. The trick is finding the ones with the least amount of crazy. I haven't found mine yet.....however I really do enjoy my tranquility. The last one was a complete psycho and I can't stand having turmoil in my home. Th...

And it's still down, I put the engine back together and back into the car. Finished about 9pm with the temp around 10 above zero. Loaded the battery and it sounds like the timing is quite a bit off. Disconnected the timing computer thinking that might be the problem and it still ran like crap. So ne...

The steering without power steering is ok, you can feel the road a lot better. It's been that way for about 3 years so i've gotten used to it. Parallel parking is still good excercise though.

It was 18 degrees at my house yesterday, she hung around inside by the fire and wouldn't come out once we got there. I ground down any sharp edges on the piston, measured out the shims for a spare head i had and put it back together, so hopefully it will be back in the car by this evening although i...

Well it ran well for a couple of months, extremely well at 20psi. Then I was driving along on the interstate and an intake valve snapped. No discoloration from heat, just a mechanical failure. Smashed the hell out of the head but luckily the piston shoved it sideways back into the valve hole. The cy...

or you could just pull the wire off the coil pack and lay it on there to see the spark jump from the pack to the wire...so you don't have to mess with the spark plugs

The BOV doesn't go off everytime you shift, just when you're under enough boost for it to open. I rarely hear mine during daily driving unless I'm really pushing on it which would wake that person up anyway.

It's really hard to keep my foot off the gas, I found some boost leaks and fixed them and the car moves pretty quick at 8psi. The engine doesn't sound as beefy without the delta camshafts, it's more even and business like. I think it quieted the exhaust a little as well. I don't imagine the transmis...
