I'll trying cleaning the IAC valve first. How do I take it out? Does it require special tool?

My car has always idled fine during start up.

In extreme cold weather, it does rev to 3000rpm though for 30 secs or so.

Engine cutting out when coasting to neutral in cold weather.

I have a EJ22T with high miles and M/T. When in cold weather, the engine frequently idles too low and drop dead when coasting to a stop. I have to keep on restarting it or do left foot braking/bliping the throttle. There's no oil leak, no loss of power when driven. No CEL either. It doesn't happen v...

I have owned both a NA and turbo EJ22. the Torque below 2500rpm are almost the same. Imagine if the engine is on a kit car, not a 3000lbs family hauler.

Any links to airplanes with EJ22?

Wow, my previous car did a sub 16 run, that's impressive. I never noticed the clutch was bad when I drove it, never raced the car nor gave it bull boost. Besides there are no hills in NYC/metro NJ so I wouldn't know. After you replaced the clutch, does the pedal still feel heavy? That was the proble...

Save yourself time.

I went to R&S strauss, $59 dollar for rebuilt axle with lifetime warranty. They charge < 1 hr labor to do the job. It isn't easy too since our cars get rusty after 10 yrs.

TD-04 turbo question

I found a TD-04 turbo from a 220ps JDM WRX for sale. How much should I pay given it's in good condition with around 35-50K miles? Will this turbo fit and what else should I get?

Some Questions about a possible EJ20T swap.

Since my car has well over 145K miles and a weak clutch, I am thinking about doing a EJ20T swap from a 96 JDM WRX. There's a guy locally who has the entire front clip, his poor mechanic never fitted and finished the work for the swap into his 2.5RS. Now he is selling the entire engine, clutch, trann...

Mine has a resistance going to 3rd, but never a grind or crunch. Not bad for 145K mile.
