Re: rear bumper removal
It's 4 bolts that hold the bumper beam in the trunk. They go straight down into the floor, a small rubber piece covers each of the bolt holes.

Re: STI vs SPT Group N Mounts
All of my Group N mounts have always came in Subaru packaging with Subaru part numbers no matter which vendor I bought them from. None of them have ever said STi on them. But then again I haven't purchased any in a couple of years so maybe they changed things?

I think I need to do that as well. Gotta start experimenting now that I have a 12L JDM STi Spec-C intercooler sprayer reservoir and pump.Grayguy wrote:I think I'm gonna have to get the same before/after air temp setup you have, seems pretty sweet

Re: Dynamic Entry's 4EAT to 5MT Swap (Angel -> Demon)
I've always had luck jacking the front of the motor up with a port-a-power to get it angled enough to slide the transmission on easier. As for your pedal assembly I had the same problem swapping my 94 5mt into my 91 4eat. Took hours worth of struggling pushing the pedals against the wiring harness a...

I have one with a small crack in the lens. Would actually like to get rid of both sides at once if possible (rally spares?)

Re: Results of a new headlight restoration kit I came across
Our shop's supplier said that it is a kit that Ford is backing/recommending. Has a 3 year warranty as well. I'll let ya know more on Monday when I grab my kit from work.

Results of a new headlight restoration kit I came across.
Got a new headlight restoration kit recently, unlike the 3m kit (which is pretty good) it has a clear coat that is UV activated/protected. Before http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a51/deride/20120727_114601.jpg After much sanding/buffing and adding the clear coat... http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
A few days ago, re-wired the fender marker lamps to blink, painted the hood scoop flat black, and removed a dead bird that was stuck on the front bumper beam. Yeah, that was kinda nasty cause I have no idea how long the bird was there. Also, I took my sedan for a quick drive, it feels rather slow n...

Their factory color options were white, silver, black, and dark blue. I had to find a red in the paint shop that was close.

Re: how do you get the timing belt on? TOO TIGHT.
I usually leave the idler pulley from the lower passenger side off when I install the belt.

Be careful not to cross thread the bolt when you slide the idler back on.

Re: WRX Momo wheel
I have an 02 WRX Momo wheel in my 96 Outback. If I put the WRX clock spring in I "could" have cruise, but my cruise didn't work when I bought it so I haven't cared. After working at a body shop for many years I don't trust air bag systems, especially not early 90's ones. They are great whe...
