Weird. How is it possible for the pedal to be all the way at the top while the system's pressurized? There is a spring that keeps the clutch pedal at the top position. The increased pressure in the clutch system can be felt as resistance when pressing the pedal. The question is... how is pressure b...

Welcome Kip, glad to see someone who has been in love with the car since new! Very few of us here are the original owners of our cars :( Depending on how hard you are on the clutch, it may be time for a new one. If the adjustment you made has lasted for 10 years, then I could imagine that the disc ...

Kip - When the problem manifests itself, does the pedal fail to rise all the way to the top when you let go? If it doesn't, I can't imagine that the master cylinder is holding pressure. It's a fairly direct connection between the pedal and master piston. Yes the pedal does return all the way to the...

Did you properly brake in the new pads/rotors? They might just have uneven pad deposits. I doubt a rear differential problem would be felt through the wheel, it would come from your seat more. I think I am feeling the shudder through the pedal and seat more than the wheel. Maybe the rear discs are ...

Re: Weird clutch feel
Another quick thing, has anyone else had a problem with their clutch slipping in very cold weather? It seems that the revs will go up about 500 rpms at the most, then drop back down when hitting full boost. Whenever i do this, i can't repeat it for a few minutes because the clutch will act normally...

Clunking differential and brake shudder on 1992 Legacy Turbo
I have a clunking noise coming from the rear diff on my legacy. Its a very solid metalic thud when I drive slowly over bumpy roads. If I slowly swerve back and forth, the clunking coincides with the directional shift. Folks at Midas checked the differential and found it was very low on oil. (courtes...

Where can I buy a Power antenna mast? 93 legacy sport sedan
I drove through the carwash with the radio on. I am an idiot. I remember buying a mast by itself at some point in the past, but now Subaru will only sell me a complete power antenna kit ($100+). Kragen doesn't seem to know anything either. Does anyone have a part#/Vendor for the antenna mast for a p...

21mpg
I drive a roundtrip of 70 miles a day almost all freeway at about 80mph. I get 21mpg consistently. Doesn't matter if I feather it or hammer on it. I thought that kind of sucked until I started looking at new cars. Anything with AWD and any power gets about the same mileage.

Intermittent slipping clutch on 93 legacy turbo
I have owned this car since new. It is a terrific car. However, within the first 1000 miles from new (1993!), I started having a strange clutch slipping problem. It seemed to be related high ambient temperature. The clutch pedal (hydraulic system) would get firmer and the "slack" would be ...
