The donor car is a turbo yes? Liberty RS?
I'm jealous of how many good examples there seem to be down there in Australia. Also, nice Commodore.

Damn, where do you find these things man? I looked far and wide around California for another Turbo Leggy and just ended up buying a bugeye WRX. Glad to see you're finally undertaking the task of a new project after the side swipe accident happened! I look forward to seeing your updates on this car....

Re: 93 Legacy Turbo w Silver Anniversary interior, Portland
Any chance you'd take 2500 sans the parts? I'm strapped for cash and the best I've been offered for my outback is 2500. Gotta figure out how to get the car down here to SoCal too (I'll be able to fix her up with additional paychecks but I'm poor right now lol)

The lovely boxer rumble will be lost if you get equal length headers. You'll make more power with EL than UEL though.

Re: My 93 SS (now with 100% less dashboard!)
Well, found the source of the startup idle-hunting. HUGE pre-turbo, post-MAF vacuum leak. My intake elbow was hardly making contact with the turbo inlet, and it was cracked. Swapped it out for one I got at a junkyard, as well as changed out the BPV hose. I also reinstalled the turbo chimney and the ...

Yeah, if I had known that the old lady who owned it was going to sell it so cheap, I would have bought it myself. I nearly cried when I saw it sitting on the back of a flatbed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I14QILT5k8 This is my current problem. The IAC valve has been sprayed with carb cleaner and I've been able to achieve the result you see here in the video by careful adjustment of the valve. Sadly she still refuses to warm up normally, but at least the motor stays ru...
