Made it to Race 1

Skipped a few things like sunroof delete. but made it to the first race for a shakedown. The vehicle had a transmission noise before we went and we knew the connector for the y pipe was a little short and both bit us during the day. The transmission sounds 1000 times worse, but we were planning on p...

I think thats a good point.. throw the MAF on the shelf.. keep it for later and just get the car on the road.. we have enough parts to modify this car, but why not get it out there and test it first to make sure its not all a waste of time and money. suspension does seem a better mod

Some companies want exposure and as long as you go to enough events, the exposure on the side of the car is enough for cheap parts here and there. Others want wins, and then the best are just ones you know and are willing to help out. Each sponsor will fall into a different need category on why they...

I had an air bubble on my WRX, we lifted the passenger side of the car and out it came. Its a trick we HAVE to use on the BMW's they are a pain to bleed.

Project RallyX: 1991 Legacy Turbo

Not sure where else to post. Vehicle journals is blocked and emailed a moderator that can move this if you deem appropriate. So Ryan (92 Rally) and I just picked up a 91 Legacy Turbo. Here is the start of the photos and the project, I am sure we will keep updating as we go. The VF11 turbo is seized,...

Upgrading to TD04 and WRX intercooler...what is needed?

I have somewhat searched the boards, we just acquired a 91 leg turbo. The turbo is seized and we have a TD04, wrx intercooler and even STI injectors and rails. I am wondering what is needed(engine management wise) to install the components. if there is one thing that needs a computer where the rest ...

Hey this is Nick, also new to the forum and Co-owner of a new to us 91 legacy turbo. Ryan pretty much explained it all, I have an 02 wagon that is going through an engine upgrade at the moment and the legacy will be a nice dirt toy.
