Re: TransGo Shift Kit-Where to get one?
Yes that is the right kit for a subaru. That kit is the one run in my 750HP computer controlled trannys i build. All of those trannys are a jatco design and share the same geartrain and the valvebodys are very similar. I would recommend that this kit be installed by a professional unless you are fam...

The MafTPro works great for what it is. I had no issues with bucking or any of that nonsense. You are limited on how big you can go with injectors though. I was running some 660 venoms and 60psi base fuel pressure without issue, but i think that 720 - 750cc/min is about max you could run without get...

My camera does not accept lenses at all. It's just a Canon Powershot SD780 IS How are you liking that camera? That's what I've got, and I have been pretty happy with it. The video quality is pretty good. It's my first proper digital camera, I have only had 2 megapixel camera phones before. So 12.1MP...

Yeah this thing launches pretty hard. The car the tranny was built for has more power and is lighter (2-door GC impreza). Im just Testing/borrowing it until his motor is built. As for the cost of this tranny, just parts is about $3700 plus a torque converter and a rebuildable core, and labor. Keep i...

This tranny, as built will hold a 1000HP it is a essentially the exact same thing rigoli's use without the switchable rwd/awd conversion. Yes transbrake. This valve body is a full manual reverse shift pattern (PRN1234) with a transbrake. There is just 2 wires going to it. One for transbrake and one ...

I swapped in different tranny tonight. I popped the bell housing off and it was pretty bad. lots of tooth corners broke off the ring gear, and bunch of whole teeth. On the pinion there is about 5 teeth gone right in a row and other various chips and chunks gone. Im suprised the car car still moved a...

20psi at zero MPH must be hard on things. Oh well that ring and pinion was noisy and whiny anyways.
I will Cryotreat the next ring and pinion gearset for sure.

I uploaded another video
I was doing some more testing and shot a quick video of me brake torqueing it. I think i need a lower stall converter.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKV-kDFNl4c
Keep in mind that this turbo is a bit larger than a 35R. they spool at around 4600 Rpm give or take.

Hi all I am the owner of this car in the video clip above. Them smaller VNT's use a vacuum system with a vac pump and a solenoid that is independent of the boost pressure. it uses sensors and ecu to control boost. On the dodge/mercedes sprinter vans the ecu can de-spool the turbo just before the tra...
