Yes , I can attest to the Bosch Platinums.
I ran a test on a 00 VW Jetta 2.0 MT.
Ran Bosch Plat , NGK Copper and Bosch Copper.
Each run was done for 3k miles.
The NGK $1.99 coppers gave better fuel economy and throttle response.
I suspect the same would occur with EJ22 motor.

Not sure? Maybe valve train noise ? Try a seafoam treatment ?
Its rhythmic so Id rule out any belt or bearing issues .

Update as I hate it when people post up with issues and never respond with the results. Exactly what I thought. Perfectly good parts store thermostat does not work in subaru's. Swapped out with NEW OEM thermostat from subaru (I have an account with the dealership) and walla , fixed. Party on wayne :)

My turn for cooling fun

Well my "new to me" 94 NA 2.2L 4EAT Legacy wagon needed a new water pump as it was leaking when I got it home. Swapped it out for a standard parts store pump and parts store thermostat. Everything went together and apart like clock work. Flushed the radiator while I had it out. Filled it u...

94 legacy factory speaker wire color codes.

My 94 legacy has aftermarket speakers installed front and back as well as a aftermarket stereo.
I believe the PO connected the speakers wrong at the speaker .
They sound hollow.
Anybody have a link to the colors of the factory wires?
Thanx

If you run a straight thru exhaust on a NA car you WILL loose ALL your bottom end. It will be louder but you wont have any take off power.
I speak from countless experience.

I have done countless exhaust jobs for customers and myself in the 2.2l and 2.5L N/A platforms. If your running 4eat I have seen basically zero gain . If your running a 5mt then there is a bit of top end and throttle response boost . Only when adding a 3" cone filter with it. The best bang for ...

Ive done this build on countless 2.2 and 2.5 NA cars and I have to say it does absolutely nothing. Makes it louder but thats it . I personally dont care for audible power but actual power gains. Now when I do it on 2.2 and 2.5 NA models coupled with a 5spd manual and a catback 2.5 with magnaflow muf...

ALittle low?
Meaning they will rub on the underside of the shock tower or the wheel well.
Looks like in a 16" tire Im going to have to run a 205 at minimal.

Thanx. Just whipped it out in an hr . Drained and filled the auto trans, front diff and rear diff. Fastest fluid change Ive done yet :) Haynes manual calls for 4 qts ATF when doing just a drain and fill. When I emptied my bucket of the old fluid , so as to recycle it, I filled 1 1/4 containers of mi...

change the fluids and filters or just fluids???

94 wagon 4EAT with screw on filter located on side of trans. Just picked up the car and it has 161k miles. Doesnt seem to have any issues. Fluid is very light in color and has some bubbles on the stick. Shouldnt the fluid be a dark color with NO bubbles? Subaru says that internal filter is a lifetim...

16 7.5 ET 35 will they fit?

I have a 94 legacy wagon with stock ride hieght . Will these wheels fit? I know they will actually fit but wasn't sure of the offset? They don't have tires on them yet . Figured I would put a 195/60 on them as I drive alot of snow and the narrower the better in my opinion. The wheels in question cam...
