Re: 4eat advice needed

I'm planning on welding up the old one, so I'll have the option of permanent rwd if I choose it. For the time being, I'll leave a non welded one in if I decide I want awd again.

Re: 4eat advice needed

Mine doesn't totally like rwd, it likes sending power to the front diff instead of the rear. I could go back to awd easily, I just had to put the front cvs in and reconnect a wire. I want to change the multi clutch plate piece, the thing the duty c solenoid controls.

4eat advice needed

I'm gonna be tackling a centre "diff" swap in my wagon pretty soon. Is it as simple as pulling the tail housing and swapping? Or is it more than that? Any input is great, I'm not too sure what to except. Is there a seal I'll have to replace or do I use gasket maker stuff?

Dropping the tank is a pretty big pain, you have to drop the whole rear subframe and knuckles. It was a two day project for me with hand tools.

Here's my led converted cluster, white strips soldered in. This is full brightness http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o407/Scion_Racer/0410122150a.jpg Here's some pictures of how I ran the strips and where positive and negative are. http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o407/Scion_Racer/0410122109.jpg ...

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo

I don't think the TCU needs the wheel speed sensors. My sedan doesn't have abs and the rear wheels would get power, it was just a little dimwitted lol.

One way to check if its swapped or not is the engine code on the vin plate on the drivers strut tower. If it says ej22e, its swapped for sure.

Re: looking for duty C bypass info

Could I possibly use this mod to go rwd? If it locks the centre multi clutch pack, and I was to pull my front cvs but leave the hub ends, wouldn't that give me rwd?

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

I've tried. Its the right front door seal mount, right at the front of the rain gutter. I've switched the seal mounts, switched the seal, and even tried permatex black rubber sealant on the body of the car, the windshield trim mount, and the seal mount. I've been dealing with it since around the big...

Permatex black rubber sealant most of the way around the right front window because of the leak. Really hoping this fixes it..

Towels all over the right front to keep most of the water off of the seat, door panel, and floor. I hate the door seal leak.

If you can solder, get led strips and put them in the cluster. I did that and its a lot brighter than stock.

4eat question, probably a silly one.

Something I noticed when doing the auto to auto swap in my friends wagon was that the fwd trans looked a lot like an awd trans with a plate bolted in place of the rear drive components. So my question is, could I swap the rear drive components on to a fwd trans to keep my awd?
