Removing atomizing injector noozle for more flow
So i bought a flywheel from this guy with a turbo gc8, he told me that he made 371awhp on stock injectors. He said that on a stock top feed they flow around 800cc if you lightly grind the nozzle till the atomizer head on the tip of the injector comes out. The shower head outlet looking thing that ma...

Re: Machining flywheel for 9" WRX clutch disk. VS 8-7/8" sto
the flywheel i remember it just had normal wear. not blue hot spots or anything. I didnt even noticed any raised lip beyond the 8-7/8" contact area.. but i think it might be kinda concave shaped so its grabbing a bit on the 1/8" edges.
its a comp 6 puck clutch so it has a lot more bite.

Clutch woes 02-05 wrx 6 puck clutch installed in 92 ss
so its been 3 months since ive swapped out a tranny and a clutch in my 92 ss, and i still cant get the clutch to fully disengage... so far i have: replaced the clutch master (was properly bench bleed) replaced the slave cyl bypassed the clutch dampener with a straight brake hose from the master to t...

Re: ss slave cyl push rod- bushing/spacer between rod/fork?
damn i just special ordered a ss clutch master cyl, but if i changed just the slave cyl to a wrx one will it make a difference? as for the throw out bearing i was under the impression that it locks against the ring on the female end of the release bearing that is premanantly attached to the pressure...

Re: ss slave cyl push rod- bushing/spacer between rod/fork?
ya i know what you mean by staying in contact, just like how calipers run at zero clearance. And yes the rod does stay snug against it, but you can push the slave back a bit after its released. Its like the slave cylinder is taking up to much slack, so the travel of the piston is reduced making the ...

ss slave cyl push rod- bushing/spacer between rod/fork?
So i am still having problems getting the clutch to fully disengage on my 92 ss. heres the run down: i bought it in the summer with a blown tranny and a torn release bearing, so the clutch never work. The previous owner said the clutch stopped working one day, he said there was a round spacer/bushin...

Re: Slave cylinder NOT pushing the clutch fork. can it be by
yes the clutch damper i want to bypass. my co worker is convinced i have air in the system. ill replace the line and bypass it and bleed it nicely and see if it helps. i really hope it has nothing to do with the clutch being for a 02-05 wrx I really dont wanna take the tranny out again. I just repla...

Slave cylinder NOT pushing the clutch fork. can it be bypass
sorry for the dumb question but, im clutch master line right off the beggining from the clutch master cylinder to the (slave i guess?) on the side of the transmission (not the one pushing the clutch fork) is kinda leaky. I found out that line is $70 or so. But there is a shop locally that makes any ...

Re: What's the best way to weld shut a TD05 wastegate?
leave the wastegate actuator linkage on without hooking up a vacuum source or tack weld where the lever hinge pivots in a closed position. When you want to sell it just break the weld off or grind it. Would it be silly to just use some mechanic's wire or a nice heavy spring and fasten the wastegate ...

Re: jdm wrx 5speeds 4.111 fd w/ 3.9 rear end?
Wait, watch out -- the 02 WRX transmission has a 1.1:1 output ratio between the front and rear (or the other way around, I forget). In any case, it's meant to work with a 3.545 rear differential. damnit this is never ending for me trying to match up fd's ya you're right i just looked it up on allda...

jdm wrx 5speeds 4.111 fd w/ 3.9 rear end?
