Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.
I definitely have my eye on a Howe racing quickner but I'm not sure about 2:1 or 1.5:1. Any suggestions?

Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.
Decided I could get all three in the center vent area so I busted out a file and went to work: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_9vKXh4RAVWo/TS1YzRIdtwI/AAAAAAAAB-0/M6ClVNfjRSI/s800/photo.JPG They fit very nicely actually, only needed to remove ~1/8 of an inch to make them slide in: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_9vKXh4...

Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.
Finished the rear section of the exhaust a few days ago but here are pics finally. 2'' to 2.5'' to a cat and no muffler. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_9vKXh4RAVWo/TSqxODi1gII/AAAAAAAAB-g/i4RgU2s6k8Y/s800/exhaust.JPG The back section is tucked up real close too, won't be snagging the exhaust on any...

Re: The progression of freestyle motorsports.
First thing I noticed was how bad the rocker panel was dented, but hey it's a 20 year old car. I'm glad someone is driving the piss out of it.

Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.
Well I spent the weekend in the garage with the car, and got the first half of the exhaust all tacked together and ready to be welded fully. I have it tucked up very close to hopefully keep it intact after jumps and ditches, maybe too close. I have having second thoughts about the distance from the ...

Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.
Yeah it'll be ready by then. I'd like to do Olympus, but I think doo wops is more my price range. I really want to do Oregon trail too because that was the first rally I ever attended back like 7-8 years ago.

Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.
You're welcome! Sorry for the lack of updates. Not much going at the moment. The car runs and is drivable but I have taken it back apart to fix things I was unhappy with. I'm going to redo the entire exhaust, and redo the seat mounts for a better position. Also I'm contemplating repainting it. Flat/...

Re: BC/BJ Legacy Roll Cage Build!
Woah just now saw this thread. Sweet work man. Since it's your business card go roll the hell out of it and then people will really come to you for a cage! If I walked into a shop and they had a gnarly balled up chassis but the occupant area was still intact that would speak to me. The color is grea...

Re: Taking struts apart the fast way.
The only thing I got in that video was 30 extra mins of my life from not dealing with strut compressors. I meant it to be mostly entertainment. You WILL fuck up the threads of the strut shaft if you don't have a impact undoing that nut at warp speed. A lot of strut and spring combos, like florin sai...

Bump for a fellow 4.11 swapped wagon.
This looks to be the ultimate backroads/ski trip subie. 4.11 gears are rad, and with that light flywheel I know this thing is a hoot to drive. GLWS!

Re: Good rally/mud tires?
James. Used rally tires are cheap, and will hold up to abuse much better than thin side wall snows, but rally tires are bad in snow because they are actually really soft, so you need to keep that in mind. Check out the regional forum at specialstage.com and see if anybody around you has some used ra...

That is nothing to worry about. It is related to cold start enrichment.
But be good to your car and let it warm up for 30 seconds or so before you start moving.
