Cable clutch issues
'92 Legacy 2.2, 5 speed. It's my sister's car, who is in chicago(I'm in Denver), and all information is through my mom, sooo.... The clutch is apparently slipping badly now. Supposedly, the clutch is fairly new when I got the car at the beginning of this year, so I was thinking it was the cable migh...

CEL constantly flashing
Ok, so I tore down the front of the engine (92 2.2), and replaced the crank sprocket, keyway, pulley, oil pump gasket and crank seal. Timing belt was still decent, as the white marks were still visible, and no visible wear. While doing this, I removed the battery so the computer would reset. Now, th...

I'd recommend replacing the coolant temp sensor. I'll check that out, thanx. And I just checked the oil when filling it up with gas... it was showing WAY to full, which might explain the oil leak(s) and buring oil smell. I'm going to double check again later, as I didn't actually believe the readin...

Questions on a 92 I just picked up!

'92 Legacy L 2.2, 5 spd, 233K miles. Drives ok, feels pretty solid. Problems with it: 1. Hard to sta...

Hydraulic lash adjusters won't come out!
Ok, so they are '91 EJ20 heads. The stupid lash adjusters need to come out, so I can oil soak them, and verify all are working. Problem is, I can't get the buggers out! I've tried pulling with pliers even(as per the SM), but they won't budge! Anyone do this before and be successful at this? What do ...
