I cant really use anything like a cherry picker since I dont have a solid surface to work on. If I had a concrete floor under the car that would make it much easier.

Engine Lift

Does anyone know how to build one of those tripod things that people use to pull engines out of cars? How do you guys remove your engines? I dont have a garage and I need a good way to get my engine out without trying to get 10 people to help me. Thanks, Damon

My awd went out in my car last year, I took it to my local sube mechanic and he said that the clutch packs in the rear of the tranny develop "burrs" that keep them from coming all the way together and you only need to file off the burrs. He also said that it's not very often that he sees o...

I'm not worried about damaging the car, I just want to know if the guy could have heard the noise that the car makes when you put it in gear and assumed that it was a bad tranny. I know some of the autos had problems with the awd going bad and if that's the case I think that probably would keep the ...

Will the car move with a broken axle?

I'm buying a 91ss automatic, the guy says the transmission is "totally out" of it, I went to check on it the other day and I found that when you start the car and put it in gear it makes a horrible sound, upon closer inspection, I find that the outer cv joint is completely broken, hence th...

92ss 5mt into 00rs

how hard would it be to swap transmissions from a turbo leg parts car to a 5spd 00rs, would it be worth the trouble? The reason I'm asking is because I'm going to turbo my rs w/FAT stage 3 kit soon and that means i have to upgrade clutch, since I have to remove everything anyway should I just use th...

does the car have any other symptoms? my car has a very rough idle and it has a high rpm sputter/miss/hesitation, i changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, and it still runs like crap, no CEL, did that d-check mode thing and that did nothing as well, also reset the ecu, did nothing. :(

i honestly think i'll go with a vdo, they seem to have a pretty good name, i know they supply alot of the factory gauges for cars, as for the faze, i probably wont go for them for the simple fact that they make 22" tachs for the honda crowd.
