Sounds like he's better off having it re-wired. I thought my wiring was bad but when I replaced the speakers and then the tuner unit, my wires where fine. I had bad components. I had the same issue, speaker cutting out. My problem revolved around a bad radio tuner (Subaru factory install).

Sure it is. I replaced my stock radio in less than 1 hour. Crutchfield even sends you diagrams of what needs to be removed. There aren't many screws to remove a radio faceplate. All radio components sit on a tray. Unplug the radio connects, unscrew tray and it all comes out. Little faith from those ...

All I did was find my car at www.Crutchfield.com, find the radio that fits. Then purchased Crutchfields wiring harness (match the colors from the new radio unit to the conversion wire harness; red to red, green to green, etc.). Plug the Subbie radio harness into the conversion harness (can't mess th...

Will it fit?

Hi everyone. I have a question a hood swap I want to do. I found a hood that belongs to a 1993 Turbo Legacy sport wagon. I own a 1993 Legacy L sedan. Wold the hood from one, the wagon, fit my car? I just like the scooped hood.
Thanks.

Ok. I found someone willing to sell me their WRX OEM front calipers and rotors. What is a reasonable price for this? (Lets assume they are in good shape, no scratches, etc.).
Thanks

Ok. Since I have the 93 L model (FWD) then upgrading the rear breaks to WRX would be good too?
Thanks for all the info guys.
If you hear of someone selling their OEM WRX breaks, let me know.

Thanks for the link vrg3. quick question though: Why wouldn't I want to replace the rotors/calipers for the rear? Do the WRX calipers look the same as my 93 vintage (stock) calipers? (Do the WRX caliper's have Subaru stamped on the side?)
Thanks

Thanks vrg3.

Cross-drilled rotors

Hey everyone. Thnaks for the help with the tire size question. Now I'd like to know of a site/store that can sell me a pair/set of cross-drilled rotors for a 93 Legacy L (FWD). I have a standard suspension, 16" tires.
Thanks :P

One last question then. I'm looking at this rim size 16X7 5-100 45S. Tire size 205/50R-16 91V . Will this combination work for 93 Legacy L Sedan?
Thanks.

Rim size suggestion

Hi everyone-
I have a 93 Legacy L (FWD) with the stock 14" rims. I want to upgrade. From experience, would 17" rims fit without any additional mods? And on the issue of ride, would there be a noticable ride difference between 17" tires to 16" tires?
Thanks
