How old are the struts?
The first time I replaced struts on a car, the first drive afterwards was like an epiphany. I simply never realized how much the worn struts were detracting from the car's personality, because they wore out so slowly.

You don't even need to do springs. Springs is one of those things that "technically" you don't need to replace....or shouldn't have to. Put new struts on and it will be night and day. Trust me.

Ok, where can I find a GR2s for $70 a corner? I also need front strut mounts for my car, and I'd prefer not to pay an arm and a leg for them.vrg3 wrote:Then I strongly suggest getting a set of KYB GR2s. The GR2 is a very good aftermarket strut. They should cost you about $70 a corner and will dramatically change your car's feel.

strutts
i know why my search turned out $108. i entered my veichle as a 1990 legacy wagon and if you enter it as a 1992 it gives you $58. Now i know that this is already somewhere in the bbs, but will a 1992 fwd legacy wagon strut fit a 1990 fwd legacy wagon with tapered springs? Thanks p.s. i'm looking for rears by the way.
