I bought a set of '04 STi 550 yellow tops in prep for some kind of EM.
Question 1:
Has anyone used Carl Davey's adaptor kits to fit 550's to their EJ22T fuel rails?
http://www.carldavey.co.uk/product.php?id=2
Carl says that the adaptors work "if the grey top 440's are a direct fit the rail, then the adaptors will work"
I would like to do this so I could revert back to the stock 370 (or 390, or whatever they are) stock pink-top injectors later if need be. This would notbe possible if I swapped to the NA rails.
Question 2:
The 550's I bought do not have pintle caps on them. Do I need these...I expect that I DO need them (regardless if I use the adaptors or the NA rails).
I'll probably send these off to whichhunter for cleaning/flow.new o-rings, and he'll replace the caps too. Just looking for input.
Thanks,
Chad

Here is another set of adapters. You don't have to go to UK to get some.

Ah interesting solution. Will keep in mind for upgrades if I ever get my car running properly.
With all my recent injector o-ring leaking issues, I wonder how much more prone this makes the whole setup to leaks...

Thanks all.
Klienkid, the DW kit looks like the same basic design as the UK kit, except it contains some unnecessary (for our application) connectors.
Did you use any other o-rings besides the 2 oem's on the new injector and the 3rd o-ring on the machined adaptor? (3 total per injector) No o-ring spacers like the 440 injectors need (?).
In the end it looks like either kit will work, and the UK kit is only $50.
