I use 10w30 castrol syntec and a Subaru oil filter when I change the oil in my TW. The oil capacity is 4L for the turbo engine. You should also change the crush washer on the drain plug every time you change the oil. Avoid Fram filters, they're cheap for a reason. If you're going to use an aftermarket oil filter, Purolator filters are probably the best to use.

same here, and last bought high mileage chevron oil, seems to work fine. My ride leaks oil so I get to experiment with all brands hehe.

I have a friend that use to have an oil leaking car back in the days that ran forever since the oil was always clean :D lol...

Castrol 10w-30 (dead dinosaur type) and Purolator filter. I usually like to change my oil after a race so like once a month. Always worked well for me.

( I change it every 3k in the off months)

I use whatever brand's on sale with a filter included.

Before when I had an engine with bad bearings I used 20w-50 and now I just stick with 10w-40.
The 20w-50 kept that engine running for the 37k miles I put on it with the main bearing going. Wix filters
are some of the best, but they're hard to find here. Royal Purple's like $8 a quart here. I'm going with
Eneos Fully Synthetic 10w-30 now though since my neighbor can get me oil changes for $30.

Castrol's not a great oil. Mobil is probably your best bet for the cheaper oils.
Fram's ok if you get the better quality. The Purolators suck if you get the regular,
but the PureOne is good.

Explain? I got some and my car *Feels* smoother. I was going to try Amsoil next. I redline the car a lot and will be using it for the track shortly (auto-x)

I thought this post was for people to let others know what they use, not bash on what others use. Everybody has their own opinion on what they like and use in their car.
