My 1992 Legacy L Wagon AWD had a great cooling A/C when I bought it 1 1/2 years ago but lately it is not cold anymore. It doesn’t seem or sound like there is anything wrong so I was wondering if a coolant refill would do the job. I’ve been eyeing those cans at the local Pep Boys – any suggestions/re...
Look at the picture below: http://i23.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/bf/3b/83_1_s.JPG Not the same car, not the same place. Crop a little on the top and bottom. Haven't you seen this picture before? It came from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31869&item=24765...

The scoop: I found the car on eBay (!) on a lazy Saturday afternoon. 8) The listing had the dealer's ph...
I didn't know Subaru had redesigned their logo!
That looks cool!
It appears that they are dropping the word Subaru and using the oval much more now.
I like it!
Ciò è un automobile bello!
And I am talking about Mark's Sedan.
I like the "chromeless" look!
I want to do the same on my '92 L Wagon.
Some window tinting would match very well.
Any tips on painting the door handles?
Upon registering to AutoZone.com, I was taken to a page that displays four manufacturer's recalls for my car's year and model: Recall 92V044000: Fuel Tank Leaks NHTSA92V044000 03/30/92 Recall - Fuel Tank Damage WZJ51 04/20/92 Recall 94V052000: Transmission Vent Tube Freezing NHTSA94V052000 03/18/94 ...
Thawa, I thought exactly the same - hence, I'll do it myself. The mechanic was a nice guy who took his time while driving the car to show me how the noise disappeared when the brakes were applied. And he was clear when he said the brakes were fine. But back at the shop, the owner took over and gave ...
Had it inspected today and the mechanic told me the shims on the front left brake are loose and that is where the rattling noise is coming from. As a matter of fact, when the brakes are being applied, the noise disappears. But the shop owner told me shims come only with the calipers and to replace a...
I had a similar problem on another car (89 Toyota PU 4x4). It turned out to be the speedometer cable. The noise was more noticeable on cold weather (the speed needle would wiggle a little). I filled a syringe with WD40 and injected in the cable from below the dashboard in both directions. It worked ...
I am looking forward to dechroming my '92 L Wagon. Basically, I want to make door handles, trimmings and grill all black (the molding above the doors will have to be done as well since the black paint is peeling and the chrome underneath is showing). I am also considering doing the roof rack since i...
I have my eyes on a set of '03 WRX rims and tires like these... http://damanleung.homestead.com/files/RIMS.JPG ...for my '92 L Wagon. The WRX 205/55R16 will replace stock 185/70R14. Some people say it will rub, some say it won't so I guess I will have to experiment by myself. In any case, I would li...
Upon inspection of my recently bought '92 L Wagon 2.2 5MT AWD, I notice that the oil filter has not only the Purolator logo but also the inscriptions "Fuji Heavy Industries" (Subaru's parent company). I assume that means the part is OEM and, as far as I know, you can only get OEM parts at ...
I have a similar thing going on with my 92 L Wagon 2.2 5MT AWD but with the clutch pedal. The travel is quite long before the gear kicks in. The clutch seems fine but is somewhat "sensitive". Overall it is very different than others vehicles I had before (including other Subies: three HBs ...
Kudos to you, Konrad! I won't be checking VIN reports anytime soon since I bought my 92 L Wagon 2.2 5MT AWD just two weeks ago. But I paid $10 for ten reports with AutoCheck. It is worth but it may take a while to find the right car so it can be expensive at the end. Note that these reports are only...
I think the majority of the merchandise sold at the Legacy Central Store is likely to be purchased by the users of this board.
So I thought nothing better than a design that is known by everyone:
I found another picture... http://membres.lycos.fr/subaruleg/hpbimg/legacy%20chrome.jpg This one doesn't look as subtle as the previous, though. Anyways, I've been researching the BBS and learned a lot. And before some "ricey" comments appear on this thread, I just want to clarify that the...
Mine does the same thing.
I don't think the problem is the gauge but rather the floater inside the gas tank.
Does anyone know how to access it and/or replace the part?
